Stories: The GF13-017NJII God Gundam is the titular Mobile Suit of the anime series Mobile Fighter G Gundam. It was the second Mobile Fighter used by Neo-Japan in the 13th Gundam Fight. In the US dub its name was changed to Burning Gundam due to Cartoon Network`s fears of Americans being offended by the God Gundam name, following an incident where employees of the massive chain store Wal*Mart went through every box of a shipment of Gundam Wing toys and removed and returned all instances of the XXXG-01D2 Gundam Deathscythe Hell. Like any lead Mobile Suit, the God Gundam is equipped with a well balanced arsenal. For long distance combat, God Gundam possesses four head mounted vulcans along with two tri-barreled machine cannons in its shoulders. In close range combat, God Gundam can draw its two beam sabres (one stored in a recharge rack on each hip) or deploy a pair of short range spurs on its forearms called the God Slashers (the later was only used once during the entire series to gouge out the eyes of Neo-Italy`s Neros Gundam). Like Shining Gundam, God Gundam was able to transform into a super mode in which it`s chestplate opened to expose an internal power regulator and the wings divided into 6 spines that generated a ring of fire around God Gundam`s back while the armor on God Gundam`s forearms slid over its hands to utilise the God Slashers.

Painted in his trademark red color scheme and insignia, Char utilized the Sazabi as a front-line combat unit to personally lead Neo Zeon mobile suit forces against the Earth Federation Space Force and its Londo Bell subsidiary. Despite its large size by mobile suit standards, the Sazabi maintains a high level of maneuverability due to a proportionally-high number of maneuvering verniers and lightweight armor materials. It is also heavily armed, including a powerful mega particle cannon in its torso, a variable-output beam shot rifle (a pump-action activates a shotgun-like burst, otherwise functions as a normal beam rifle with semiautomatic fire), and a battery of melee weapons. The Noir Striker is a flight pack equipped with a pair of linked MAU-M3E42 linked linear guns and a pair of heavy MR-Q10 `Fragarach` 3 beam blades. In effect it combines the primary features of the original three Striker Packs (the Aile, Sword, and Launcher Strikers). It also mounts a single EQS1358T rocket anchor. In CE 74, the remainder of Sven`s squad is assigned to attack the Deep Space Survey and Development Organization`s (DSSD) space station, to capture the GSX-401FW Stargazer`s AI unit. During the battle, Sven is caught off guard by Stargazer`s unorthodox anti-beam defense system, and Strike Noir`s left arm is sliced off, along with other less significant damage. Stargazer`s pilot Selene McGriff then grabed the Strike Noir and uses the DSSD station`s propulsion laser to launch both mobile suits away from the battlefield. They are carried all the way to Venus, where Selene drained Strike Noir`s remaining power into Stargazer`s reactor, and rescueed Sven from the disabled mobile suit. As Stargazer returned to Earth, Strike Noir is abandoned in orbit around Venus.
