| Description: - Modelling instruction in japanese is provided. - Weight: 1000g Weapons & Combat Capabilities: Besides the standard armament of the GAT-X105E Strike E (CIWS guns, rocket anchors, beam rifles), the Strike Noir is equipped with the AQM/E-X09S Noir Striker. The Noir Striker is a flight pack equipped with a pair of linked MAU-M3E42 linked linear guns and a pair of heavy MR-Q10 `Fragarach` 3 beam blades. In effect it combines the primary features of the original three Striker Packs (the Aile, Sword, and Launcher Strikers). It also mounts a single EQS1358T rocket anchor. The Noir Striker is based on test data from the Integrated Weapons Striker Pack (IWSP), which was originally designed by Orb but later duplicated by Actaeon Industries under a Phantom Pain contract. Besides these armaments, the Strike Noir typically carries a pair of larger grenade launcher-equipped 57mm high-energy beam rifles of the same type used by the GAT-X102 Duel. The PS armor on the Strike E also changes color slightly, with the knees, head, and skirt changing to black and the white armor pieces change to a dull grey. Stories: Following the first Bloody Valentine War, several GAT-X105 Strike units are upgraded by Actaeon Industries into the more powerful and advanced Strike E. One such unit is handed over to Phantom Pain pilot Sven Cal Payang, whose unit is typically equipped with the Strike Noir pack. Sven, together with his comrades Mudie Holcroft in her GAT-X1022 Blu Duel and Shams Couza in his GAT-X103AP Verde Buster, make up a trio of Gundam pilots. The Strike Noir`s first deployment, along with the Blu Duel and Verde Buster, was to defend against Zala loyalist guerillas who emerged in the wake of the `Break the World` terrorist attack. Shortly afterward, Sven supervised a squad of GAT-01A2R Slaughter Daggers as they destroyed a Coordinator refugee camp where some of the terrorists were allegedly trained. Later in CE 73, Sven engaged in a brief, inconclusive duel with Martian Coordinator Ergnes Brahe in the GSF-YAM01 Δ Astray. Ergnes escaped in his ship, the Acidalium. Shortly afterward, when Orb joined in a treaty with the Earth Alliance, Sven was assigned to lead a squad of five Slaughter Daggers piloted by Orb soldiers in pursuit of the Acidalium. While the Orb pilots fared poorly and Sven`s Noir Striker being damaged during the fight, he attached the IWSP (which was being used by one of the Orb pilots) to Strike Noir and managed to severely cripple the Δ Astray. At some point after this operation, Sven returned to his Phantom Pain squad and escorted the Bonaparte as it delivered the GFAS-X1 Destroy Neo Roanoke`s unit. The Bonaparte was attacked along the way, and while Blu Duel pilot Mudie Holcroft was killed, the attacking ZAFT force is wiped out and the Bonaparte arrived at its destination. In CE 74, the remainder of Sven`s squad is assigned to attack the Deep Space Survey and Development Organization`s (DSSD) space station, to capture the GSX-401FW Stargazer`s AI unit. During the battle, Sven is caught off guard by Stargazer`s unorthodox anti-beam defense system, and Strike Noir`s left arm is sliced off, along with other less significant damage. Stargazer`s pilot Selene McGriff then grabed the Strike Noir and uses the DSSD station`s propulsion laser to launch both mobile suits away from the battlefield. They are carried all the way to Venus, where Selene drained Strike Noir`s remaining power into Stargazer`s reactor, and rescueed Sven from the disabled mobile suit. As Stargazer returned to Earth, Strike Noir is abandoned in orbit around Venus. | |

I read through the youtube, and found that the comment given was pretty useful, so taught of sharing with you guys:
The movie is not that bad as ppl say... (at least you wont get boring with all the action), but i kept wondering why the hell they used the title 'gundam'. After the movie, half of the ppl laughed (b/c of the epilogue), half of the ppl get shocked or complexed haha. The movie isnt even connected with 1st and 2nd seasons. Gundam apps for iOS surface at Tokyo Game Show
Out of the Toyko Game Show and onto the Internet sneak a trio of hands-on videos for three Mobile Suit: Gundam themed iOS apps. It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of giant Japanese robots, specifically those from the Gundam anime franchise--there are more than 30 Gundam action figures/models littering my desk as I write--so, I'm excited to see these apps in action.
Two of the demonstrated applications are games. Gundam Fighting Spirit is a stylized 2D-fighting game where players battle their favorite giant roboto against one another. Gundam G Generation Touch is a slower paced, turn-based strategy RPG populated with super cute versions of the same 'bots. The third app, NDAM Tool Box, presents what appears to be the cockpit of the titular Gundam mech, through which users are presented with shortcuts to other apps such as Safari or Mail.
These apps will be available on iOS devices in Japan in the coming months, but there's no word if we'll ever see a U.S. release. However, if my obsession with Gundam has taught me anything, it's that (for now) this franchise will remain strictly import-only. Check out Gundam Fighting Spirit in action in the embedded video below. The dialog is in Japanese, but you'll still get an idea of what's going on:

Linkin Park 's Gundam
Okay. This is odd. Bandai is releasing a special Gundam model kit in Japan with a deluxe edition of Linkin Park’s new album, I’mnotlookingupafuckingLinkinParkalbum. Apparently this is because some Linkin Park song is used in one of Bandai’s million new Gundam games they release every year. But what’s really blowing my mind is this:
Bandai made the above art of the five members of Linkin Park dressed as Gundam pilots. I honestly can’t wrap my head around this. It’s like some horrible fan art made official, like some Linkin Park-loving anime nerd found a genie and suddenly we all woke up in this word where this insanity is real. The band also designed the colors of the Gundam model in the kit, but it’s just black and white and sucks, and it’s a small consolation. Linkin Park as Gundam pilots. I may need to lie down for a little bit.

Linkin Park Rock Album to Bundle Gundam Plastic Model
Warner Music Japan has announced on Wednesday that the American rock band Linkin Park is contributing a theme song for Bandai Namco Games' Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme Vs. arcade game. In addition, a deluxe box of the band's newest album, A Thousand Suns, will bundle a limited-edition Gundam plastic model ("Gunpla") in Japan on November 24.
The theme song, "The Catalyst," is the first single from the album. Two editions of the album will ship in Japan on September 15, two months before the "Gunpla 30th Anniversary Edition" will ship. This is the first time that a video game from the Gundam franchise has featured a song from a Western musical artist.
The album's Gunpla 30th Anniversary Edition will include a HGUC 1/144 RX-78GP01Fb Gundam GP01Fb Full Vernian "Linkin Park Edition" plastic model kit. According to their official Japanese website, the members of the band are big fans of the Gundam robot anime franchise, and they designed the custom color scheme of the model. The Gunpla Edition will feature special box art with the band members and the Gundam design.
Update: The music video for Linkin Park's "Somewhere I Belong" song (2003) happened to feature several Gundam models — including the Gundam GP01Fb Full Vernian. Linkin Park DJ Joe Hahn remixed supercell's "Black Rock Shooter" song for a stop-motion video included in the Special Edition of the Black Rock Shooter anime.
Hahn had previously directed an award-winning animated music video for Linkin Park's "Breaking the Habit" song. Hahn worked with animator Kazuto Nakazawa (Kill Bill Chapter 3: The Origin of O-Ren, Samurai Champloo, Genius Party Beyond's "Moondrive") and Tokyo-based G.D.H. International on the music video, and the video inspired a graphic novel by Tokyopop.
Californian singer Andrew W.K. released a cover album of J-pop songs that included the "Ai Senshi" song from the Mobile Suit Gundam II: Soldiers of Sorrow film. He then released Gundam Rock, an album of English-language rock covers of Gundam anime songs, last September in Japan.

gundam robot phone: only in japan?
This phone will be released by Japan’s third biggest mobile phone carrier, SoftBank Mobile, who has 25 million subscribers. The phone itself is based on a Sharp 945SH, which has 3.2-inch VGA display, 12.1MP CCD camera, video recording in 720p, digital TV tuner, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and is waterproof. That’s actually not bad for a basic cell phone. Do I want one, though? Nope, I’ll stick to my old SonyEricsson Cybershot K810i.

The Gundam Phone Is Here
All fans rejoice, the 945SHG Ver.GP30th RX-78-2 is out.
Pardon me? The 945SHG Ver.GP30th RX-78-2?
The Gundam phone, in short. It’s just Softbank sticking with a very clear keitai line-up, you know.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of the figurines (and the 31st year of the show) and Bandai partnered with the #3 carrier in Japan to give you that mecha extravaganza.
The phone itself is a modified Sharp, coming with a 12.1 megapixel and HD video capable camera and a HDMI-out to connect it to your brand new HDTV. Not sure the TV will handle the power of Gundam, though.
Like many of today’s offering in Japan, the phone has 1seg, the mobile terrestrial digital TV service, GPS and Bluetooth. Again, stuff that Gundam doesn’t need. He’s mightier.
The phone is waterproof though. Gundam doesn’t need to shower.
Good news for those gaijins having trouble reading Japanese, the phone can be switched to English. Now, I don’t know if Gundam would actually like that. Thread carefully here. You’ve been warned.
